The Late Summer

Randy plucks thread
from a married woman's slacks
-- he winds it 'round his finger.
This is the way to truly un
dress her.

Her husband, whom I don't know,
finds no guidance in the gum
below his that is below his
seat -- still his digit sticks          Their
marriage is as a
wonder                  ful potato, and yet
like that potato
brown.

She presses into
Randy to break your
heart or stomach. The
sex act looms like --
well, "a cold to skylessness"
has gone before with "sticking fire"

and it's cheating to take them
to wrap them all around.
