A Real Poem

Do you like the poem I published at Keyhole? It's okay if you don't. I consider it "a real poem," as opposed to other poems that I write which are "fake poems." It should be read very fast.

It's true, and it's called "Some Men in My Family." I think it is very sad.

That is really great.
You are a good poem writer, Adam.

I'm not about to start looking on here all the time or anything, so don't try to make me.

Thank you Bryan. That means a lot. I hope you keep checkin in here from time to time, at least.

I've recently started following you here via JS, and I must say, I wish I had followed you sooner.

That's a really wonderful poem, Adam. Completely honest, intense and hits all the right notes, sometimes so quietly, at all the right places. Thank you for sharing.

"It’s the depth that makes the difference"

That better be in Adam Robison and Other Poems.

You're right, it's very sad!

But very good simultaneously.

it's a great one. you can balance the funny-sad, intellectual-immediateness in a poem like no other. poems maybe shouldn;t even do that, what makes yours so good.

Love it. I hope it's in the book too. I won't buy the book unless it is.

No. I will, even if it isn't.
